FACIAL RELAXATION
The Unbiased Truth

Tiny injections are placed just under the skin in the appropriate area to relax overactive muscles that cause DYNAMIC wrinkles. STATIC wrinkles are caused by either volume loss or continued creasing by untreated overactive muscles and are best treated with more invasive, although nonsurgical dermal implants, known as fillers.

Hence, an ounce of prevention is better than 10 pounds of cure. Avoid sun exposure at all times. Start early preventing wrinkle formation, in your 20s and 30s.

Imagine a paved road with cars traveling on the road. Constant traffic from cars (DYNAMIC wrinkles) leads to "potholes" (STATIC wrinkles). Facial relaxation steps can prevent potholes. If cars do not travel on the road (Prevention), potholes cannot form. Facial relaxation after the formation of a pothole (STATIC wrinkle) will prevent the pothole from worsening. Once the pothole exists, both prevention from worsening the pothole, i.e. preventing the cars from driving on the road (DYNAMIC causes) should be addressed as well as repairing the pothole (STATIC wrinkle) with dermal implants.

Indication: Overactive Facial Expressions

How it works:

Normal action between Nerve and Muscle: The nerve transmits Acetylcholine that crosses over to the Muscle fiber and causes a reaction- movement- Dynamic expression. To relax this overactive muscle- Injected medicine is taken into the nerve cell, binding receptors, preventing the normal release of Acetylcholine to the muscle fiber, hence the muscle fiber doesn't react. Over 3 months your body replaces those bound Acetylcholine receptors and the normal nerve-muscle reaction takes place.

Which medicine is right for me?

Only prescription medicines can affect the human structure of muscles and nerves as cited in the FD&C Act, the federal legislation that defines Drugs. OTC products "claiming" to work like prescription medicines are simply false and misleading. Remember, the FDA does NOT approve product "claims" Your government feels that the burden rests on the consumer to do the due diligence and make a wise choice. There are new medicines approved everyday. Ask your reputable ACCP physicians what they suggest as the best medicine to relax your overactive muscles. There are many new choices and only your certified physician knows what's best for you. The consultation is usually free of charge.
